The community council consists of persons with I/DD, family members or guardians, and representatives of affiliate agencies who express opinions, make suggestions and recommendations to the governing board of the CDDO concerning any service issues including:
• The types of services offered by the providers in the service area
• The manner in which those services are provided The council is also responsible for development and implementation of a dispute resolution procedure and overseeing the development, implementation and progress for local capacity building plans.
Community Council meetings occur the 4th Friday of every 3 months 10:00 am-12:00pm. Meetings are held at the Point Events Center 2101 Dearborn Augusta in the training room. Meetings are combined with Affiliate Meetings.
